Melty Ham and Cheese Hawaiian Sliders

These Ham & Cheese Sliders are a warm, buttery crowd favorite with just the right balance of sweet and savory. Layered with melty cheese and sliced ham on soft Sola rolls, they’re baked to golden perfection. Want an extra punch of flavor? Try brushing the tops with a glaze of Dijon mustard, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce.

Ingredients

12 Sola Sweet Hawaiian rolls
8 Ounces ham, thinly sliced
8 Ounces Swiss cheese, sliced
3 Tablespoons mayonnaise

For the Glaze
Half a stick of salted butter, melted
1 Teaspoon poppy seeds
½ Teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.

  2. Cut the Sola Sweet Hawaiian rolls horizontally, lay the bottoms in a baking dish. Spread with the mayonnaise and then layer on the ham  and top with a layer of Swiss cheese.

  3. Place the tops back on the rolls and cut through the sandwiches between each roll.

  4. Cover the rolls with a layer of baking parchment and then aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes, remove the foil and baking parchment paper for the last 5 minutes of baking.

  5. While the sandwiches bake, make the glaze by melting the butter in a saucepan and whisking in the poppy seeds and Dijon mustard (if using).

  6. Once the sandwiches are done, brush with the butter and poppy seed glaze and serve immediately.
