FAQs
Nutrition Facts & Ingredients
Where Can I Find Product Information and Nutrition Facts?
You can find the ingredients and nutritional facts information on the product packaging. While we do our best to keep the most current ingredients and nutrition facts on this website and our other storefronts, the best source of product information is on the package you purchase.
How do you calculate Net Carbs?
Net carbs are calculated by subtracting fiber and sugar alcohols from total carbs.
Total Carbs
– Dietary Fiber
– Allulose (included in Total Carbohydrates in Nutrition Facts)
– Tagatose (included in Total Sugars in Nutrition Facts)
– Sugar Alcohols
What are Net Carbs?
Net carbs help you track carbohydrates that impact blood sugars. Dietary fiber, tagatose (sugar) and sugar alcohols should be subtracted from total carbohydrates, as they have a low glycemic response.
Do your products contain dairy?
All of our products are dairy free with the exceptions of our line of Sweet and Buttery breads, Pizza Bagels, Jalapeno Cheddar Bagels, Honey Wheat Style Bread, and Rustic Wheat Style Bread.
What natural sweeteners do you use?
We are proud to say we provide you with quality ingredients that can be found in nature. We use familiar sweeteners like Monk Fruit and Stevia Leaf without adding excess carbs to your diet. Sola products do not contain artificial sweeteners like Maltitol, Aspartame, Sucralose, or Saccharine.
Do your products contain any added sugar?
No, our products only contain naturally-occurring sugars that have low or no impact on blood sugar levels.
Are all of the ingredients in your products Non-GMO?
All ingredients used to make Sola products are Non-GMO.
Does taking out artificial preservatives mean your products will go bad faster?
No, we have tested our products using third-party verification and found that our products should continue to have a 45-day shelf life at room temperature. Conversely, if you're like us and enjoy stocking up, our products stay fresh in the freezer for up to 12 months with sacrificing texture or quality.
What does Keto Certified mean?
Keto Certified is the world’s first and most popular Keto Certification program developed in 2016 by the Paleo Foundation. The Keto Certified Standards were designed to standardize Keto claims on products while improving the quality of available Keto diet products on the market for individuals following a Ketogenic Diet. If you would like more information on the standards that are used to certify products, please visit ketocertified.com.
What are GMOs and why do they matter?
Genetically Modified Organisms or GMOs are living organisms that have had their genetic code altered in some way. The centuries-old way to crossbreed crops involves mixing all the genes from two sources – think grapefruit, which is the cross between a pomelo and a sweet orange. Producing a GMO is much more targeted. Instead of crossing two plants out in the field, a gene or two into individual cells are inserted in a lab. There is currently no data to indicate that the consumption of GMOs is bad for human health, but the team of Sola chefs and food scientists decided we wanted to go back to the basics when sourcing ingredients for our improved formula. This is why we are excited to share that all of our products are now Non-GMO certified.
Do your products have Erythritol?
Yes, our products do contain erythritol along with other natural sweeteners. Sola is focused on continuing to elevate and transform the commercial bread aisle and recently reformulated our full line of products to use only non-GMO ingredients and remove all saturated fats, artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives. While the recent Nature Medicine study was not specific to the general population and only revealed correlation and not causation, we are continuously reviewing the latest nutrition and scientific research to ensure Sola continues to lead the low carb market.
In-Store
Are you located in the freezer or bread aisle?
We're available in both. Where we're located in the store varies depending on the store.
I got a defective product in-store, what can I do about it?
If purchased through a grocery store, you’re able to get your money back if you return it to the grocery store from where you originally bought the product.
If you are unable to do that, please contact our customer care team and they can make it right. Please note pictures of the products in a defective state must be presented.
My store still has your old packaging, is that bread still fresh?
Yes! Sola bread is baked fresh, then immediately frozen and transported to some retailers. Your store is likely still selling the remainder of its frozen inventory. As long as the expiration date printed on the packaging you received has not passed, your bread is still fresh.
