Surf & Turf Burger

Succulent lobster and a perfectly grilled beef patty together in one burger... it's a Surf & Turf masterpiece. 


  • 1lb Ground beef
  • 3/4lb Shucked lobster meat
  • 1.5 T Butter
  • 4 Slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 Large onion, sliced in thick rings
  • 3 T Extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 Sola burger buns
  • Lemon aioli (we like this one!)
  • 1/3 Cup mayonnaise
  • Zest from one lemon
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper


  1. Toss onions in oil and spread out on a sheet pan. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and roast @ 400° until golden brown with some crispy edges.
  2. Heat butter over very low heat in a shallow pan, and toss in the lobster. Once cooked, keep warm.
  3. With the ground beef, form four burgers and grill or pan sear. Add swiss cheese to the top the last minute of cooking so it melts.
  4. Lightly toast the buns.
  5. Divide the aioli between the 8 bun halves.
  6. Place the cheeseburger and 1/4 of the warm lobster on each bun bottom.
  7. Divide the roasted onions and place on top of the lobster.
  8. Put the top buns on, and enjoy your juicy and delicious burger!
